4-Day Private Tour of St Petersburg
Information
Start the first day with a relaxed 8-hour city tour. Your personal guide and professional driver with take you to many stops on the way to take pictures and enjoy the views to the famous squares, bridges and buildings. Then get inside the St Peter & Paul Fortress and the Cathedral, St Isaac's Cathedral, the Church on the Spilled Blood and finish your day with a river tour.
Van Gogh, Matisse, Picasso and many other great European artists will please your eyes during the second day in the Hermitage Museum. Carry on to see luxury world of the gorgeous imperial jewelries and Faberge Eggs. This part of the tour will take approximately 7 hours.
On the third day, get out to the beautiful countryside to have a great time exploring interiors of Catherine's Palace and the Palace of Pavlovsk. This journey lasts 6-7 hour but will travel you hundred years back to the era of Great Russian Emperors.
Day 4. If you think there’s nothing else that can surprise you, you must see Peterhof. It’s rich history and personal overlook of Peter the Great made it the center of attention for more than 300 years. Let these 5 hours become a cherry on the cake of your travelling experience.
Day 1 (7-8 hours):
City tour with picture stops. You will see the Nevsky Prospect, the Spit of Basil Island, the sphinxes, the Troitsky Bridge, the Summer Garden, the Palace Embankment, the Marble Palace, St Michael's Castle, the Field of Mars, the Smolny Cathedral, the monastery of Alexander Nevsky and many other sights. (from outside) Inside visits: St Peter & Paul Fortress and the Cathedral, St Isaac's Cathedral, the Church on the Spilled Blood Sightseeing canal cruise. Experience one of the favorite activities of all times, a boat trip that will show you St Petersburg from the other side.
Day 2 (7 hours):
Excursion to the Hermitage Museum. Explore one of the best museums of the world and enjoy the unique artworks by the most famous European masters. You will visit the Winter Palace and other buildings of the museum complex, including the General Staff Building. The works of impressionists are exhibited there: Van Gogh, Matisse, Picasso, Cezanne, and others. Tour to the Faberge Museum. See the biggest collection of the rare Faberge Eggs, the best pieces of the jewelry art and belongings of the Russian Emperors.
Day 3 (6-7 hours):
Tour to Tsarskoye Selo (the Tzars' Village). Visit the opulent Catherine's Palace, the best representative of the Russian baroque style, and see the famous Amber Room, restored after being robbed during the WWII. Tour to Pavlovsk. After a short ride from the city of Pushkin, you will visit the summer residence of Emperor Paul I and his wife Maria. The Palace of Pavlovsk displays a broad collection of personal belongings of the emperors.
Day 4 (5 hours):
Tour to Peterhof. On the way the summer residence of Peter the Great, you will have a short subway excursion to see the most richly decorated stations. On the last day of the tour, you will see the world famous cascades and fountains of Peterhof operated by gravity. Visit the Grand Palace of Peterhof, representing architectural styles of different centuries.
