Tour of the Hermitage Museum and Catherine’s Palace
This Palace is now hosting The Hermitage Museum, its collection has more than 3 million exhibits.
During a sightseeing tour of the Hermitage, you will visit the main halls of the museum. The route passes through the Small and Large Throne, Field Marshal and Heraldic Halls. You will admire the paintings of great artists: Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt; experience with your own eyes the mastery of the great sculptors of Michelangelo, Edgar Deguy, Rodin. You will also see the famous exhibits of the museum: the 19-ton Kolyvan vase, it is called the “Queen of the Vases”, and the Peacock clock.
The Catherine’s Palace is located in the place called Pushkin. It is a former imperial palace, the official summer residence of three Russian monarchs, a masterpiece of Russian baroque of the XVIII century. Walk through the large park around the Residence and enjoy fresh air and beauty of the nature.
A visit to the Amber Room - the “eighth wonder of the world” will become a cherry on the cake. This place has a special historical value, the fate of which is shrouded in thousands of secrets.
